Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous fried chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. Staff was extremely attentive and accommodating to my nut allergies. All of our food and wine from starters to entrees was absolutely amazing. Atmosphere was tremendous too.

Come for our anniversary dinner and loved the experience! Wonderful service. Our waitress was funny and friendly. We’re from out of state so the scenery was very different for us but beautiful, regardless of the weather. The food was excellent! Fresh clam chowder is not a thing where we are from so we really enjoyed all the fresh seafood! Great selection of wines also. This place was recommended by a family member and I believe if we ever visit Oregon again we will go back to Salty’s!
