Das Cured, Chefkoch Steve McHugh erster und mit Spannung erwarteter Gastropub, wurde im Dezember 2013 in einem Jahrhunderte alten Gebäude, das einst der Sitz des Präsidenten der berühmten Perle Brewing Company gehörte, eröffnet. Dieser erfahrene Koch verbrachte 10 Jahre in New Orleans als Küchenchef für Koch John Besh, gefolgt von 2 Jahren im Lüke in San Antonio. Es war diese Reinheit der Zutaten und Hands-on-Methodik, die seinen eigenen Heilungsprozess vorantrieben. Dieser Fokus auf saisonal und ohne Fertigprodukte, ist auch auf der Karte zu finden, wie beim Sweet Potato Agnolotti mit Bourbon Brown Sugar & Salbei und dem langsam gekochten Heritage Hog mit geräuchertem Andouille & Okra. McHugh hat einen Weg gefunden, um "gastronomisches Geben" einzubauen, indem er USD 1 pro verkauftem Charcuterie-Brett an eine andere Gemeinnützige Organisation jedes Quartal abgibt.

This was our very first time, trying to experience new restaurants in San Antonio we made reservation two weeks in advance and was extremely excited. love the place, great location, beautiful atmosphere however my boyfriend order the steak and eggs meat was great, rice was good however beans were cold food took a little too long to be serve so I wonder if the beans were just sitting there, I end up getting the green chilaquiles they were good just not what I was expecting overall it was a nice brunch and beautiful place.
