Really helpful regarding my lactose intolerance. Gave me a list which, compared to other places, was very easy to follow. Nothing was too much trouble, all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Only thing I couldn't have was yorkshire pudding, chef serving meat couldn't tell me what milk was used so avoided just in case. At home I make with lactose free milk or soya milk. You can't taste any difference, maybe you could give it a try. Still wouldn't stop me coming back as I enjoyed my carvery regardless it just would have been the nice to have the choice.

The food was excellent, good quality, well above average for the price. Our only concern was my wife is highly allergic to peas. We informed the team, yet there were 5 peas in the vegetables. They clearly had tried to remove them but were not thorough. We'll definitely go back, but know we need to be watchful.

Our visit to The Lesters Arms yesterday evening was an absolute delight. The food was excellent, as was the service and the ambience. I am very pleased indeed to have found a venue where the dining experience lives up to its reputation and will certainly be booking again; if only to order the Passion Fruit Cheesecake which is an experience in itself.
