Lovely staff who were kind, considerate and friendly. I took my 93 year old father out to lunch and they were great with him. Food was fabulous. I had steak & my 93 year old father had trout. Both delicious. It is an old pub with lovely character. Very nicely kept & clearly under good management. Fabulous too to have a fire burning on a chilly March day👌

Really helpful regarding my lactose intolerance. Gave me a list which, compared to other places, was very easy to follow. Nothing was too much trouble, all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Only thing I couldn't have was yorkshire pudding, chef serving meat couldn't tell me what milk was used so avoided just in case. At home I make with lactose free milk or soya milk. You can't taste any difference, maybe you could give it a try. Still wouldn't stop me coming back as I enjoyed my carvery regardless it just would have been the nice to have the choice.

The food was excellent, good quality, well above average for the price. Our only concern was my wife is highly allergic to peas. We informed the team, yet there were 5 peas in the vegetables. They clearly had tried to remove them but were not thorough. We'll definitely go back, but know we need to be watchful.

Couldn’t ask for more from a traditional pub. Prompt service and attentive staff.

We booked The One Elm on saturday evening for 2 other friends and we had the loveliest evening, the food and service were excellent and we had a lovely evening - will definitely return!
