Lovely country pub that I haven’t visited in 30 years. Wonderful large airy dining room, delicious cheese and onion pie for British pie week and super desserts. Extensive wine list with variable prices and friendly great service. Really lovely experience.

Food was good but don’t ask for an after dinner coffee as they close the machine down….around 9pm ! It’s more a boozer than a pub bistro that’s just my humble opinion!!

The room we were in was pleasant and as there were only 2 tables of people having afternoon tea it was quiet in there, so easy to chat. The service was good - very pleasant people. The food and selection was good - nothing spectacular but all very tasty, and we were given boxes to take away anything we couldn't finish. The only thing that would mark it down for us was they we were not offered a top-up of tea. We would probably have been given it if we had asked, but other venues offer it without you having to ask.

Good overall but preferred the dishes on the last menu

Wonderful food, attentive staff, lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
