Das neue Mamma Melina besetzt das südliche Ende der Corydon Apartments in der Nähe des University Village und hat mehr mit dem eleganten Barolo der Varchettas in der Innenstadt gemein. An einem Sommertag könnte man meinen, dass neben der breiten Vorderterrasse der Rodeo Drive und nicht der Burke-Gilman Trail entlang führt. Inmitten flacher Becken, die silberne, in der Sonne glitzernde, Kugeln halten, sitzen wundervolle Menschen mit übergroßen Sonnenbrillen auf dick gepolsterten Sofas und trinken Wein oder erfreuen sich unter Leinwandsonnenschirmen an weiß gedeckten Tischen an hausgemachter Pasta.Die Preise sind angemessen und die Küche ist durchgehend geöffnet.
