Bata is a restaurant designed to celebrate the best our region has to offer. We cook over a live oak fire, on our custom fabricated hearth. Our menu changes daily. We mill AZ grown grain in house, daily. We focus on whole animal butchery, done in house. We have an extensive fermentation program. Our bar program largely focuses on wines that are organic, biodynamic, and produced with minimal intervention. The cocktail list highlights the best products of the season, with a carefully curated list of spirits from across the globe. We believe that our hospitality is just as important as the food and beverages we put on the table. We do not encourage our restaurant for young children. The change in location to the Playground was of surprise. The menu has been limited and the quality of food was not great for the price. Disappointed to say the least. Service was great. If you want bar food this is a great place to meet.

Had dinner before heading to a concert Seating was quick and on time Offered choice of seating We dined outside on the patio A heater was brought over immediately Very attentive! Good service throughout the meal We had the duck stew and flank steak Both were delicious! I would have liked a bread with the stew, would be my only recommendation. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend

Exceptional dinner experience! We enjoy seafood and started with the oyster appetizer which was delicious. It was wonderful to try all three different oyster options. The halibut and cioppino were fantastic! Dessert was so creative and deliciously amazing. Excellent service by our server Marley. We can’t wait to go back!

We loved BATA. Our excellent server gave us advice on how to order from the menu - small plates, shared with each other, great suggestions and explanations of the dishes themselves. Everything was delicious. The interior was lovely and even though the space has high ceilings, it wasn't too noisy for us to hear each other. Highly recommend.
