The Grumpy Baker, founded by Michael Cthurmer in 2002 on Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, specializes in artisan sourdough bread with unique flavors. By 2005, the bakery outgrew its space, entered the wholesale market, and moved to a commercial factory in Leichhardt, achieving HACCP accreditation. Next Door next level. Our hostess Francesca made the day exceptionally special from wine and food recommendations to her exquisite service. Prawn cutlets are a must and the cheeseburger was sensational along with some tasty sides. Be back soon.

Un choix de vin parfait ça c’est clair et de très bons conseils. Helena aux petits soins et le staff au top également. Polpette extras, carpaccio de Wagyu étonnant et délicieux, les Vongole géniales. Petit Canoli pour finir j’aurais bien testé un autre dessert mais plus la place ! Merci on a adoré. On reviendra !

The food was incredible - so tasty and not overpriced. Our waitress was brilliant but having to wait over an hour for two cocktails was not. It was a busy night though so hoping it was just an anomaly and not the norm. We will definitely be back.
