At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner.     We love this place- a nice hidden gem in downtown WC. We love sitting at the bar and Lucas is great- very knowledgeable and an experienced bartender. They had a three course prefix for Valentines Day which was a little pricey but delicious nonetheless. We just wish they still offered their delicious homemade bread during the prefix. One of our favorite date night locations- we’ll be back!

    I wonder why we don’t eat here more often. The menu is inventive and hard to choose from, the cocktails delicious and generous, the service was perfect. We had a great time and will be back soon.

    The service was exceptional and we really enjoyed our cocktails along with the pizza and appetizers. The only problem was seating. We reserved a patio table in advance but when we arrived, our table was not available and they shoehorned us into 2 seats at the very crowded bar.
