Das Modus Ristorante, ein neues Restaurant im Financial District, serviert zwar italienisches Essen, auf erfrischende Weise traut sich aber niemand, es als "rustikal" zu bezeichnen. Hinter dem Modus stehen Sam Genkov, Inhaber des 16-jährigen Bravi Ristorante, dem Lieblingsrestaurant des Viertels, und Küchenchef Bruce Woods, ehemals vom Brassaii. Woods ist die luxuriöse italienische Küche nicht fremd. Er arbeitete in den späten 90er Jahren im Il Posto und wurde Küchenchef sowie Mitinhaber des Centro, nachdem er für Marc Thuet übernommen hat. Die Speisekarte des Modus zeigt, dass Woods wieder in seinem Element ist, indem er bekannte italienische Klassiker als Gourmetkreationen neu erfindet. Hinter der Weinkarte des Restaurants mit 300 Flaschen steht Sommelier Ruben Elmer von der Profile Wine Group, der zuvor auch bei Canoe und Auberge du Pommier gearbeitet hat. Die Karte bietet 10 rote und 8 oder 9 weiße offene Weine, mit einem großen Schwerpunkt auf italienischen, kalifornischen und südamerikanischen Weinen.
