Die Mamakas Taverna ist eine elegante griechische Taverne mit 85 Plätzen an der Ossington Ave. Der Besitzer Thanos Tripi verleiht den Speisen der Ägäis einen frischen, authentischen Ansatz und bietet klassische griechische Gerichte in einem modernen Ambiente. Jedes Gericht wird sorgfältig nach Art der Großmutter von Thanos vor Ort zubereitet und lädt Sie ein, durch Essen, Kunst und Musik das Griechenland zu erkunden, wo Thanos aufgewachsen ist. Der einem offenen Markt nacherfundene Speisesaal ist aus weißen Betonsteinen erbaut, um so einen dem in ganz Griechenland sichtbaren Gipsputz ähnlichen Effekt zu schaffen. Das Mamakas ist eine Anspielung auf Erbe, Geschichte und Erinnerungen der Familie - die tägliche Fahrt auf den Markt, um reife, duftende Tomaten zu erstehen. Der Besuch eines vertrauenswürdigen Metzgers für frische Paithakia und des Fischhändlers der Ortschaft für fangfrischen Fisch. Rezepte, die seit Generationen weitergegeben werden.     Gia serves amazing plant-based Italian food with great service. Our drinks, appetizers, and meals came out quickly, and everything was spot on. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a tasty and smooth dining experience.

    The minute you enter Linny’s you know a lovely experience awaits! The ambience is gorgeous and service exceptional. From the menu, we chose the Friday Evening Special option as a way to taste many house favourites. So many delicious items!!! A tiny disappointment … our steak was chewy and more fat than protein. It was an expensive evening but one we all thoroughly enjoyed. A venue to put on the list for special occasions.
