Hier bereitet Jean-Georges mit wirklich saisonalen, wo immer möglich hoffrischen Produkten aus dem Hudson Valley und Neu England zubereitete Gerichte für Sie zu. Das bereits 1833 ursprünglich als Wohnhaus gebaute und später als Gasthof genutzte Gebäude wurde aufwändig renoviert, wobei, soweit möglich, zahlreiche originale Materialien und Merkmale, wie die noch funktionierenden Kamine, erhalten wurden. Das Innere des Restaurants wurde von Thomas Juul-Hansen so gestaltet, dass ein modernes, aber gleichzeitig bodenständiges Gefühl entsteht, und in dem Elemente aus Zink, Marmor, Stein und altem Holz Akzente setzen. Die kunstvoll von Hervé Descottes konzipierte Beleuchtung des Restaurants integriert Papierschirme und Edison-Lampen, um eine durchgängig angenehme Atmosphäre zu erzeugen.

Valbella, which since 1992 has been a celebratory place and a regular haunt for the locals who pack it most nights of the week both for its sumptuous food and its astonishing wine cellar, containing 1,450 selections and 16,000 bottles. The restaurant is named after America’s most famous founding father, Benjamin Franklin. While he was pinnacle in America’s birth, he also became the first ambassador to France. While on trips to Paris, he would wine and dine with the best of them and when he returned, he would bring back the French culture, food and wine, and share it with our new nation. Dishes like Potato Lyonnaise and Crème Brulée were the first of his favorites he shared with America. The Benjamin reflects that bridged gap between the two countries’ cultures. The restaurant and bar is french-inspired, but uniquely American. It sits in Ridgefield's historic district in a 1875 house, but the interiors are modern, elegant and new. Chef prepares dishes like Mussels, Foie Gras, Shrimp Toast, Chicken, Halibut, Duck, and more.

    A quiet table with 50s music in the background. It was steak night and the filet mignon was prepared perfectly and delicious. The service was excellent.

    What a find. We live no where near South Salem, but saw this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We had no real expectations, but it had to exceed any we MIGHT have had. The food was delicious and the decor warm and welcoming, BUT the best thing about the la Vista was the wait staff. Everyone one of them showed that they truly love what they do. They all were so attentive. We liked it so much we're going back next weekend wand we're bringing some family with us.

    Five ladies who lunch had a wonderful experience on ALL levels. The food was exceptionally good - everyone enjoyed their chosen dishes. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food, wine and cocktails. Valet parking is always appreciated too. A wonderful lunch and we were not rushed out after we’d finished wasting. Totally delightful on all counts.
