Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration.     Veal saltimbocca was amazing. Tiramisu was also good. Bartenders were attentive and accommodating when I wanted gnocchi instead of linguine. Portion was worth the reasonable cost of meal. Will be back again.

    Went for a valentines 3 course fixed price offering and every thing exceeded expectations. Excellent flavor in every dish served. Wine and food very good value. Sat in back and felt it was better choice than towards front door. Highly recommend

    Had a lovely lunch with a friend in a delightful relaxed club like cozy setting. The menu was large and varied enough that we were able to dine on what we truly desired. The wait staff was very accommodating and allowed us all the time we required to decide and chat. I Highly recommend this warm library atmosphere for a casual dining encounter or a business lunch
