In the heart of rural Northumberland in the village of Chatton you'll find The Percy Arms; an ideal place to visit, dine or stay in luxury. Take a drive Northbound on the A1 from Morpeth (a mere 36 miles), follow the signs for Chillingham Castle and you'll descend on the peace and tranquillity of Chatton. On your drive there, you'll witness the spectacle of the Cheviot Hills, the varied hues of the grasses and heaths and appreciate the true splendour of our county.
The Percy Arms is the ideal place to visit or stay for those looking for a relaxing break in informal but luxurious surroundings in the Northumberland countryside. The Percy Arms is in close proximity to some fantastic places including the spectacular Northumberland coastline, National Park, fine Castles and country houses, splendid churches and delightful towns and villages. A warm and very friendly welcome by the young lady behind the bar who also served us our drinks and lunch. Good choice of bar meals, considering it was the 2nd January, not exactly busy for them, there being only three other diners in the bar. We all had the fish and chips, a good pint and some soft drinks..All in all, good pub fayre at a sensible price.

Unfortunately not good. Booked a slot for New Year's Day lunch, there was only 1 other table but the food still took 50 minutes to come out. We were waiting about 20 minutes for drinks as well. When the food was eventually served, all the portions of chips were cold. They were taken away and brought back just heated up, needless to say they were hard and inedible! My partner ordered the steak, but was told 10 minutes later that 'It couldn't be done' This was quite puzzling to say that we were only the second table ordering! The menu was limited so he asked for the pie instead, but with chips not mash. When it came out, the pie was served with mash! We didn't order dessert as planned as we didn't want to wait another hour. Very expensive for the quality of food and service!

Great food pub with a good menu and some fine ales from the anarchy brewery. Very good friendly service and everything reasonably priced.

Really well worth a visit. Staff were very good and attentive. Everywhere was clean and comfortable. We chose just main and dessert. Steak for main, mine was slightly chewy but husbands was spot on so must have been the cut. I had ice cream which was delicious and husband had cheese & biscuits so we could share. Perfect evening and perfect wines. Booked in again for tomorrow night as we are staying in the cottage right next door, which is also excellent 🤩

Superb Christmas lunch from the festive menu. Menu well thought out and Christmas lunch was very tasty, well cooked and nicely presented. Lovely service, warm and welcoming and our four legged friend loved her serving of pigs in blankets for lunch too! Thank you :)

4 of us enjoyed our Sunday lunch. The food was cooked perfectly and numerous vegetables accompanied a good portion of meat. The menu was varied with plenty of starters & main courses to choose from.

Enjoyed a meal here whilst away for a long weekend- lovely food - value for money and great service from the lovely team who went the extra mile. Felt really welcomed and enjoyed the experience. Thank you. I had the venison sausages and my partner had the spinach and falafel burger.
