Chef Angelo Romano’s Paradiso restaurant exemplifies excellence. I initially felt a sense of hospitality on the phone when making a reservation; that hospitality was reinforced throughout the evening by the genuine warmth and confidence of the chef and staff. They are on top of their game and it shows.
The menu is a superlative exploration of the chef's Italian Riviera background. It relies heavily on locally caught seafood and light (almost simplistic) compositions that skillfully accent the flavors of the high quality ingredients…
Paradiso absolutely earned its stars. Not because of the meticulously clean and organized restaurant, nor the expert service, or even the amazing food and drink.
It is because all these aspects meshed together seamlessly, effortlessly and impeccably. Whereas some restaurants try to impress, Paradiso is simply impressive

    Perhaps it was kitchen fatigue after New Years Eve, but dinner New Years Day night was well below expectations. Two of us had short ribs which did not fall of the bone, as they should, My friend who had the three pasta sampling plate only enjoyed the scallop and risotto offering and said the others were tasteless, Another friend had the veal parmigiana and thought it okay but for $75??? The last member of our party had the Penna alla Norma, which she very much enjoyed. We ordered dessert and waited and waited for them to come until one of the staff caught a gesture from our table. Clearly we were forgotten in a restaurant that was mostly empty. Hardly a memorable experience and sad given we had heard good things and drove up from Delray Beach, where there are so many superior options.

    It was New Years Eve; thus, we expected that service might be somewhat slow. So, while our reservations were made weeks in advance, our table was not ready. Somewhat to be expected. But we didn’t anticipate the surprise and unhappiness shown on the faces of the staff when they saw us. We got the sense that the restaurant was understaffed, as our waiter was so rushed that he took orders from only half of our table, then raced off somewhere else for very long stretches of time; we often had to ask the busboys to call him back to complete our service. We ordered margaritas. Since we’d been to this restaurant previously and had enjoyed their margaritas, we were very disappointed in our drinks even after waiting over 25 min for them to arrive. They tasted like tap water! It was also unfortunate that our waiter was impatient and less than enthusiastic to assist us with our decision on wine. In fact, when we wanted to know about wine that was not listed in the main menu, he did not offer to bring the full wine menu, but asked loudly how much we wanted to spend on a bottle. He said: “300$? 500$?” So we just took what he suggested from the short list. The wine we had was fine, but part of our enjoyment when fine dining is in the choice of our wine. As we noted, our waiter seemed quite busy doing other things - we wondered why management did not prepare properly for the number of diners they accepted by engaging more waitstaff or limiting the number of diners so that those who came could receive satisfactory service. Regardless, the food was, as usual, exceptional!! All in all, we had a good meal and will return. However, we will know to expect this kind of service if we return again on a busy night.

    Such a wonderful upscale restaurant with superb quality food and wine. The service was exceptionally good. I had the salmon. My wife had the special ravioli and our friend had the seared tuna. Everything was delicious. A must for special occasions or anytime.

    Great food and great service. My only recommendation is to share apps and entrees— the portions are huuuuge

    Lovely place. We’ve been here a few times and always enjoy the food and service. Decor is old-fashioned cool. Perhaps a little crowded and noisy at first, but as the crowd thinned, we were more comfortable. Johnny, our assistant, was wonderful. Only sad thing was that we didn’t get our take home bags of food.

    Christmas dinner at Paradiso’s was fantastic! Nicola, our server, recommended we start with the seafood salad and I’m so glad we did, it was the best I’ve ever had! If you’ve not tried this gem of a restaurant you should.

    This was by far the best dining experience I have had. Service was impeccable. Food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend!

    First time here and were told they would give us a good table. We were sat right next to the kitchen. The bus service person kept running in and out, dropping silverware, and even cursed when looking for the bread to give another table. The restroom had a broken handle and I let two staff know--none of them cared. Food is very pricey for the portions. Was not a very Merry Christmas experience.
