Our menu celebrates terroir-driven, ‘proper country food,’ focusing on wild, seasonal ingredients. Our aim is simple: to tell the story of our community and the local producers we work with.The menu changes with the seasons, with some dishes lasting six weeks to highlight the peak of their season, while others may be available for just a week or even a single service—a fleeting, micro-seasonal snapshot. We offer lunches daily and our wonderful Sunday lunch has tables from 12:00 until 16:00. Staff are lovely and friendly, part of the restaurant is dog friendly, Chester was well looked after, just like we were. Food was excellent and great value as well. All in all a great lunchtime experience.

We have always had good meals at The Kitchen but last night’s meal topped the lot and was outstanding from start to finish. The star was the Thai green curry. Best Thai meal I have had since visiting Bangkok. This along with the usual excellent service and lovely surroundings means it’s highly recommended.
