Das Manalu ist ein neues, authentisch italienisches Restaurant des Küchenchefs/Besitzers Marco Pontecorvo. Der Name des Restaurants kombiniert die Namen seiner 3 Familienmitglieder. MA steht für Marco, NA für Naomi, seine Tochter, und LU für Lucia, seine Frau. Das Manalu hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, einen Hauch von Italien und Neapel in die Stadt zu bringen: mit authentisch italienischer Küche und der ursprünglichen Pizza Napoletana aus dem Steinofen. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich und warm und somit ideal für Familie und Freunde. Das Manalu hat auch eine Bar mit Schanklizenz und eine Happy Hour von Montag bis Freitag zwischen 16:00 Uhr und 19:00 Uhr. Die Happy Hour gilt auch für eine Speisekarte mit köstlichen Vorspeisen.

Food is always delicious! Generous portions are always on your plate. The place is always packed for dinner so the noise level is usually high and it is hard to hear a person sitting across from you, but the food is worth it🙂

Amazing food. So many choices and all good. Customizable options in pasta, pizza. And BYOB $15 corkage fee, but still a solid wine list and best Tiramisu we have ever had.

Our waiter Fernando was great. We had reservations so no wait and seated immediately. Very great staff and amazing food. Will come back for sure on my next visit to the area.

This was my first time dining at Manalu—my mom had been several times previously—and I liked it a lot. It has an electric atmosphere. The booth was very cozy. Service was great. Fernando was our primary server and he is top notch. The owner and chef even stepped in to get me another martini. Nice touch. He has a distinct presence outside his fine kitchen. The food was very good. Between the two of us we had, and enjoyed, the house salad, a Caesar salad, a cup of pasta e fagioli, calamari fritti, and zuppa del pescatore (clams and mussels in a flavorful tomato sauce with superb toasted bread). The portions are generous! I got the impression that ordering an entree means a partial take-home. We stuck to “lighter” fare tonight but were very satisfied. One can comfortably order from the antipasti, soup, salad sections and not leave hungry. BTW, some of the off-menu specials sounded heavenly (e.g., grilled salmon with clams, shrimp, crab, over linguine with a white wine lemon-butter sauce). Better for a weekend night out. I recommend this place.
