Sehr leckeres Essen für einen fairen Preis mit TOP Bedienung. Einzig der Lärmpegel ist etwas hoch, aber bei so vielen Gästen auch verständlich. Falls wir wieder mal in London sind kommen wir wieder :)

Reservations are a smart decision as the restaurant has a good reputation and can get busy.

Das war insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend in Hide. Besonders hervorzuheben ist sehr gute Weinbegleitung (mein Mann hatte hedonistic und ich classic). Das Essen entspricht einem Stern. Meinen persönlichen Geschmack hat leider Amuse Gueule nicht getroffen, für mich war das viel zu einfach gemacht (mein Mann fand es dagegen gut). Ein Highlight war für mich definitiv das Oliveneis, nach allen Gängen das war genau das richtige um das Gaumen für das Dessert zu vorbereiten. Negativ ist mir die Lautstärke in Restaurant aufgefallen. Dies ist allerdings beim Restaurant dieser Größe leider nicht vermeidbar. Wer nach Ruhe sucht, soll sich eher für ein anderes Restaurant entscheiden. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und man fühlt sich da gleich wohl. Alles ist durchdacht. Besonders süß fand ich Mini Riedel Dekanter, die wohl extra für dieses Restaurant kreiert wurden. Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Restaurant, das man besuchen kann, wenn man grade in der Nähe ist :)

But they are, and well-deserved, too. Social Eating House sprawls across three floors with the Blind Pig Cocktail bar on the first floor. The dining space is on the ground floor with a designated space for the kitchen. Seasonal and regional food is the order of the day with the set lunch menu being of particularly good value.

This award-winning Japanese restaurant has some of the best sushi in London, and largely influenced by Kyoto cuisine. This is a restaurant that prides themselves on the provenance of ingredients and the influence of Chef Yoshinori Ishii is everywhere, from the menu items to designs and even flower arrangements. UMU has a Michelin star for the quality of the cuisine. Fish comes from Cornwall and Scotland with some authentic Japanese ingredients flown in from Japan. Reservations are highly recommended.

Ich habe Japan von Norden bis Suden bereist. Das kulinarische Erlebnis im Umu übertrifft das meiste, was ich selbst in Japan essen durfte. Sowohl die Kunst der Kaiseki Kitchen, als auch die Herstellung der Pottery werden vom Chef mit großer Meisterschaft beherrscht. Eine top Empfehlung!!! Auch das Sake Pairing war fantastisch
