We are a high-low, fine-casual concept making simple, seasonal American cuisine inspired by the culinary traditions of Italy, France, & Spain. Expect to see dishes that you are used to seeing at fancy restaurants & some you would typically find at a drive-thru or dive bar. but they all are served on a plate from Goodwill. Our menus are ever-changing, not just by the season but by the day. we embrace change, creativity & inspiration every chance we get.For groups of 2 people, we recommend ordering 4-6 dishes from the three sections of the menu (depending on how hungry you are!). for example - 2 snacks, 1 small share plate, & 1 large share plate.The food is designed to be enjoyed family-style.     Roe is delightful! The building is great, the service was friendly, and the food was exceptional. Getting to watch the kitchen do its thing is a pleasure. We were there on a busy Saturday night and my only caveat would be that if loud rooms are an issue for you, I might recommend sitting in the bar. It’s cozy and much quieter than the main restaurant area.

    Coming from metro Phoenix which has great food, we have been pleasantly surprised by the many wonderful restaurants in Bellingham. But Carnal is a cut above. Big city vibe, and creative menu. A tad on the pricey side, but well worth it.

    Excellent service, really creative dishes. If you like mussels and fries, great but ask for fries on the side so they stay crispy, and recommended that! So fun and we got last minute tix to Rocky Horror show so they moved us to bar so we could hang out on a very busy night!
