Foghorn Brewery was born of a dream to make craft beer the way it ought to be made—from grain to glass all under one roof.The historic building in King Street had been abandoned for several years when we first set foot inside. In that dusty old warehouse, we saw the potential to create something really special.And so it was that Newcastle’s first modern craft brewery opened its doors in April 2015. The town’s industrial roots have played a big part in shaping the unique character of Foghorn Brewery. It may not look like much from the outside, but boy oh boy were we surprised today. The food was absolutely spectacular. It was authentic and yet so beautifully presented. We ordered cooked dishes, not dim sum and dumplings. The beef was exceptional and the sweet and sour fish was Devine. The vegetables were crunchy and the tofu seafood dish was very tasty. The atmosphere was wonderful with beautiful colours and coordinating tableware. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable and parking was easy to get too. All in all, we would go back again and again and again. A spectacular food joint.

Meantime is my favorite restaurant in Hamilton -Newcastle, I usually go Tuesday Wednesday nights when trade is a little slower, however there is always more business than one server can handle, Hannah is a great server and Meantime owners should be glad they have her, but there should be 2 servers this close to Christmas.
