Amuse is a seasonal, farm to table driven restaurant, located on the third floor of the museum. Whether you are dining in our main dining room, full-service bar, or our private dining room, you will be able to take in sweeping views of the Robins Sculpture Garden and the museum’s Cochrane Atrium. Our team works diligently to provide a menu that is directly inspired by the art-filled surroundings, current exhibitions, and seasonality while also carefully selecting only the finest ingredients from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Just a friendly reminder that the museum does not allow balloons, confetti, glitter, plants potted with soil, and candles with open flames.     From the point of entering the restaurant to exiting, the experience was very pleasant. The server was very attentive and cordial and took the time to explain various options. The food was prepared perfectly. We never felt rushed. The setting and atmosphere was also very pleasant. I will return in the future.

    Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. Every staff member from hostess to waiter helped to make our birthday celebration enjoyable. The food was SPECTACULAR. We tried two different appetizers, sweet potato and a beets dish and loved each one. We also tried the butternut squash soup and the braised beef rib and they were excellent. I highly recommend trying this place!

    We had a bottle of sparkling Cremaint. It was incredible. Our server, Alex, was right there and recommended teas for us. It was an event for the Yoga Wine Club from Williamsburg. We will go again. Thank the VMFA for this tea room. It also was a history note being in the building for Confederate Women. Very interesting.
