In 1835, the Bofarull family founded one of the most charismatic restaurants in the city, Can Bofarull, in the most emblematic part of the Gothic District, near Las Ramblas in Barcelona. Over time, the restaurant was renamed in honour of one of its most famous dishes, Los Caracoles (Snails). The first trail-blazing Taller de Tapas, opened in 2003, is set on a beautiful square in the shadow of the Eglesia del Pi and a short stroll from the world famous Boqueria food market. Take a break from sightseeing to sit in the entertaining square and watch the world stroll by while fuelling up on rocket and local goat´s cheese salad, some delicious Patatas Bravas or steamed Mediterranean mussels.
