Steve Silverstein war es leid, weit zu fahren und zu viel bezahlen, und entschied sich, das Restaurant zu eröffnen, das seinen Vorstellungen entsprach. Der Name Not Your Average Joe's entsprang Steves Entschlossenheit, ein 08/15-Restaurant zu vermeiden.
