At the Nag’s Head we are passionate about food and the excellent quality produce that is available locally. The majority of our food is freshly prepared and cooked from ‘farm to fork’ by our Head Chef Andy Millard and his enthusiastic kitchen team. Our menu is varied and seasonal, appealing to all tastes and includes Chef Specials, favourite traditional “pub classics” and Sunday roasts. The Daffodil is a Michelin-awarded food-led country pub, with high quality Shepherd's Hut accommodation (bookable directly via The Daffodil website and via Air B&B) in the pretty rural village of Penrhiwllan. Located 4 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, midway between Cardigan, Carmarthen & Aberystwyth, it's an ideal location for a few days rest or a relaxing meal in scenic surroundings. Food at The Daffodil is freshly prepared using the best quality local produce wherever possible.     Wow!! Blown away by this family friendly contemporary restaurant! We ordered 5 small plates and 2 main meals. The flavours were fresh and incredible and seemed to have been matched in heaven! The presentation of the food was top class and when the flavours match the quality of the presentation… wow! Just wow! The relaxed ambience, excellent service and attention to detail really shine through. We had to have dessert and this too was also out of this world! Try something with the pistachio soft serve ice cream and just wait to experience something new! To top it all off when you pay you don’t feel like you’ve been ripped off! Quite the opposite actually. This is a hidden gem that I don’t think is going to stay hidden for very long!

    Very welcoming staff and great atmosphere. The food was simply stunning and full of flavour, particularly the chicken and veg dish that my partner chose. Really efficient service and will definitely be back!

    This is the most beautiful pub I’ve been to. It’s so cosy and welcoming. The staff are lovely and friendly. The food is amazing. We happened to fall upon this pub on the way to find a waterfall and I’m so pleased we did. Highly recommended
