General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream.     We were very warmly greeted by the staff, service was friendly and prompt. We tried one of everything from the food menu, and really enjoyed all the fare. We especially liked the fried chicken, all the skewers and the cheese spring rolls. There were a good number of vegetarian dishes for our vegetarian friend too. We tried most of the cocktails, and each one was well balanced and refined. The service was very attentive, our drinks were always full, and our server gave great recommendations. We'll definitely be back!

    Great local restaurant! The (not) pizza dough is light and fluffy and the topping combinations are unique and delicious. The salads are great too! Levant is small but charming and both the food and service are wonderful.

    My companion and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The beverages were exceptionally delectable, and the culinary creations were both innovative and infused with a profound passion. It was evident that the chef poured their heart into each dish, and the service was impeccable.
