Experience dining approximately 30 feet below ground in historic caverns that were hand built in the 1800's. Accidentally discovered in 2018 during the building of our parent restaurant, Hudson and Essex, we have refurbished the caverns once used to store beer before air conditioning into a one of a kind dining experience. Every Friday and Saturday night we provide an 8 course dinner with wine pairings from our home winery ( Cypress Hill Winery ) using wines made with California grapes. Prepaid reservation only. Everything was great. Our server, Noah was very attentive. The only downside was that it was loud in the restaurant which my husband and I expected but our guests commented on the noise level.

Hudson & Essex is a high end restaurant with attentive staff & unique drinks and food. The wait staff helps each other out & you can see the comradery that exists between the servers. It's a terrific atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. In addition to typical filet, chicken dish, etc. there is always something new to try. We had a beef tartare and salmon poke & both were fabulous. In addition to the barrel aged Manhattan, there are always new drinks on the menu to try. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink, app, or meal!

The food was great! We had a long wait as they had a huge party prior to our arrival but our server was awesome. It was my husband's birthday so because of the wait they up graded a desert for him!!
