An amazing experience at The Assembly House Afternoon Tea. Beautifully decorated reception area to enjoy pre tea cocktails. Lovely attentive staff before tea and during. We chose Afternoon Sea for two and Afternoon Cheese for one. So many delicious savouries to enjoy. The Nutcracker afternoon tea was also an option and may have been a bit of a sweet treat after our seafood but we all loved every mouthful of our choices. We all felt our time at the Assembly House Afternoon Tea was the perfect way to begin 2025.

We booked The Lodge at Salhouse off the cuff on the same day( New yrs day) as had not been before and they did not disappoint. From start to finish it was a lovely experience, polite and friendly staff, lovely decor and table setting. Food was delicious, served hot and plenty to fill you up. I had chicken supreme with a truffle veloute and dauphnoise potatoes, portion sizes are very generous, My partner had the belly pork and it was huge lol but he was in food heaven lol x Service was prompt, friendly and overall a very lovely experience x

A perfect venue for any occasion, ours happened to be afternoon tea on New Year’s Day with family. The staff were brilliant, tentative, observant and yet discreet. Hats off to everyone… we will be back. Sam

Overall the Cliff Hotel is a good restaurant experience, I felt the negative points were: The napkins are poor quality the information regarding food items no longer on the menu should have been given when being seated not when ordering. Also if when ordering a sirloin steak it is off the menu the next cheapest steak should be offered at the same price. The last point maybe a personal point, I felt that the young waitresses skirts were very short. I took the time to all the girls skirt lengths and they were all short. I feel that the girls should be allowed to wear a longer length skirt.

We had a lovely meal at JoJos yesterday, the food was delicious! The waitress was lovely and never kept us waiting even though she was rushed off her feet. We have had a lot of meals at the restaurant over the years and takeaways too and we've always had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend JoJos
