Das Jacmel Inn nahm seinen Service im Juni 1977 nach 6 monatiger Renovierung des ehemaligen Wohnhauses aus dem Jahr 1888 auf. Dieses historische, 2 Etagen umfassende Gebäude befindet sich auf einem 0,89 Hektar großen Grundstück und liegt 9 Blocks vom Zentrum der historischen Innenstadt von Hammond entfernt. Die üppige Landschaft, die neue Terrasse und der große Parkplatz helfen, das Jacmel Inn zu einer kulinarischen Oase zu machen, für die sich 96 km Fahrt von New Orleans lohnen. Das Menü hat sich im Laufe der Jahre weiterentwickelt. Es werden jedoch immer frische Meeresfrüchte aus Louisiana sowie aus der traditionellen Kultur Louisianas abgeleitete Kochtechniken und Speisen verwendet. Seit 31 Jahren werden ebenso leckere Steaks von mit Mais aus Iowa gefütterten Rindern serviert. Unser Küchenchef Doyle Orlando kreiert unsere Speisekarte, welche sich saisonal entwickelt. Unser Abendessen mit einer Winzer-Serie ist bereits seit 20 Jahren bei unseren Kunden sehr beliebt. Unser Ambiente ist eine Mischung aus Karibik, Seefahrt und New England Gasthof. This is one of my favorite Hammond restaurants! The food never disappoints. The Hawaiian ribeye is my favorite thing on the menu but honestly I have never disliked anything from here. Great cocktails! And always social media ready with multiple spots for photos(if you care about that). Will be back😃

Despite being super busy for half off oysters, the service was still quick. Food was fresh and hot, drinks were string per usual. Definitely a good time when going to Dons.
