The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents. Food and service were incredible. Had a little mix up with our oysters but the freshness and taste of the variety of em were amazing and made up for the wait. At first I was sketchy about the pricing but you really get every penny and more of what you pay for through the entire experience. Highly recommend and will be going back. Drinks are amazing as well with very large selection

The best part of our visit was the decorating inside and out! Beautiful! Service was really good too!! Bar was really backed up with making new cocktails, so we waited over half an hour for our drinks. Got there a few minutes before the food, so we weren’t able to truly relax and enjoy. Food was decent.

Incredible meal with outstanding service. The decor is amazing but the lighting could be softer for an evening meal. Most entrees were moderately priced for an elegant restaurant, with the exception of the steaks, which were priced like a big city steakhouse. We had a wonderful evening and will be back again without question.
