The Hind's Head is a traditional country village pub and restaurant serving freshly made food and quality local cask ales. We are a community owned and managed free house in a very picturesque Shropshire village. We have the more traditional areas of the pub with wood burning stoves, as well as a lovely restaurant and welcoming orangery for all our guests to enjoy food, drinks and good company. We offer two wine lists as well as a great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. The views from the front of the pub have a perfect picture post card view of St Chad's Church in the centre of the village. While we offer traditional pub classics like freshly made pies and fish and chips, we also regularly offer specials that our chefs create weekly and do a lovely Sunday roast dinner that is extremely popular. On Wednesday evenings we do different foods and events, please call to confirm the theme to ensure it's what your looking for it could be Tapas, Italian, a quiz night.

Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.     Had the very best Sunday lunch at The Nags Head. The beef was tender and flavoursome, my sister had the roast chicken and I had a delicious mushroom and leek pie. All the vegetable side dishes were gorgeous. It was not a cheap outing but as it was so good and all local produce we did not mind paying. We will definitely be back!

    We were seated quickly on our arrival. Drinks were served promptly. The menu had plenty of choice and we all enjoyed excellent food. I have only one negative comment, we were served too much food eg I don’t think chips are necessary with lasagne. However, the salad on that plate was so tasty and the dressing was lovely.

    Wonderful menu, plenty of variety, something for everyone. Beautifully presented, delicious, fresh food…..nothing processed here! Able to accommodate a very fussy eater and someone with a small appetite .🤩

    The service was excellent, the food was good if a bit canteen style, nice chips and chopped salad so not lots of creative restaurant cooking going on. However for the money it's was nice tasty food
