In den 80er Jahren war es das erste Restaurant in NC, in dem Rauchen verboten war. Heute ist das Cafe der am längsten vom ursprünglichen Eigentümer geführte Gastronomiebetrieb in Raleigh. Es hat sich viel im Laufe der Jahre verändert, aber die Kernwerte sind dieselben geblieben. Für die preisgekrönten, selbst zubereiteten Mahlzeiten werden ausschließlich biologische Zutaten der Region verwendet. Das Irregardless ist ein Restaurant der gehobenen Klasse mit einer lockeren Atmosphäre. Es bietet frische Meeresfrüchte, Fleischgerichte, vegetarische und vegane Speisen sowie glutenfreie Menüs - immer zubereitet unter Berücksichtigung von Umweltbelangen.
