Tex-Mex cuisine began in the Rio Grande Valley before migrating up to San Antonio during the l860's where a group of women known as The Chili Queens' began to pop up in the city's plazas selling chili con carne with tamales, enchiladas, and chili verde. They incorporated cumin into their dishes favored by settlers from theCanary lslands, which still has a strong influence on Mexican food in Texas. Such a lovely night and dining experience all the way around. Food and drinks were absolutely exceptional. Service - wonderful: attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance…lovely, but just a bit chilly by the front door. Looking forward to returning soon.

What an amazing little spot in Beacon Hill! I have driven past so many times and always heard really good things but this is truely a gem! The food was amazing they waiter had great reccomendations and they genuinely seemed like they cared about our experience. It was so personable and lovely. The place was super full when we arrived as well which I am really not surprised about. So reservations are advisable!

Overall, a great experience. Strange that the front door was left open the entire night on a very chilly evening. There was some of problem with the lock where (-according to the hostess) the door had to be fully open or closed and several patrons complained about it being open. The power went off at some point because of the bomb cyclone, but the team handled it very well. Would definitely return.
