Christopher Hirsheimer and Melissa Hamilton—the women behind Canal House Station—are cooks, writers, and artists. In 2007 they founded Canal House, which includes a publishing venture and a culinary, photography, and design studio. Their cookbook "Canal House Cooks Every Day" received a James Beard Award in 2012. In 2019, Christopher and Melissa opened Canal House Station, a hidden gem tucked into an elegantly restored 1870s train station on the banks of the Delaware River in Milford, NJ. The Ghost Light Inn’s restaurant, Stella, is inspired by local ingredients from the region’s best farmers and artisans. This is the best restaurant in Bucks county for ambiance, food, quality of service and convenience. It sits at the foot of the pedestrian bridge crossing the Delaware River which can be accessed from New Jersey Bull Island State Park where parking is available during park hours. The bridge is also visible from inside the restaurant adding to the uniqueness of its location.

We're nearby residents and Golden Pheasant's "Locals Night" could become a regular thing for us. We enjoyed 2 starters, 2 entrees and shared a fabulous dessert. The food was excellent and service attentive and enjoyable...our server was a delight!
