Experience dining approximately 30 feet below ground in historic caverns that were hand built in the 1800's. Accidentally discovered in 2018 during the building of our parent restaurant, Hudson and Essex, we have refurbished the caverns once used to store beer before air conditioning into a one of a kind dining experience. Every Friday and Saturday night we provide an 8 course dinner with wine pairings from our home winery ( Cypress Hill Winery ) using wines made with California grapes. Prepaid reservation only.     Really had a nice time. We were there for their Valentine Day meal so did not get to see full menu, but had a nice variety of items & all were delicious. And the rating on noise is simply because they had live music & we were just a few tables from the stage. 😄 Highly recommend & we will definitely go back.

    One of the best meals we have had in quite a while. Service was GREAT food was FANTASTIC and the over all ambiance of the dining room was exactly what we were looking for. We drove up from Columbus and will do it again. I had hesitated coming to The Alcove justifying that there are so many good restaurants in Columbus, but very few that stack up to what we experienced at The Alcove. Well worth the drive and i am now disappointed in myself for waiting so long to enjoy the food here. Will be back again and again for sure.

    We had reservations downstairs in the winery. Our server was very attentive and refilled our wine glasses whenever they were empty. He knew my friend and I were catching up and did not check in too often. We never felt ignored, but it was great to not be interrupted with questions.
