Great dinner on a Friday night. Really enjoyed the Mushroom toast as a starter and lamb shank for my main. Too full for dessert, had great service and enjoyed my dinner.

Nice ambiance. I went specifically for locally sourced cuisine and they did not disappoint. Nice selections. Excellent trout. Such a nice place so we’re planning a return visit while vacationing in Whitefish.

The most amazing food we’ve had in a very long time. The grilled octopus is a MUST. We had never had it, and believe me when I say YOU NEED TO. I also had the fish special which was so delicious and the depth of flavor was immaculate. I’m gluten free (due to allergy) and so normally don’t have many options for desserts. All but one of their desserts were gluten free!!!! I had the flourless chocolate torte….and you maybe see where this is going….IT WAS PHENOMENAL. The service was exceptional. Will for sure be coming back here the next time we visit!! Thanks so much!

Salt Block Ribeye along with Lobster Mac n Cheese…we get them every single time and they never disappoint. Freestone is definitely the highlight of our dining options in the Flathead. Highly recommend!

Absolutely excellent! This restaurant and their staff go above and beyond to make dinner amazing. Food is excellent, fresh, unique and cooked to perfection. The Belton Chalet Dining Room is our FAVORITE in the State of Montana. If you dont stop here, you are truly missing out.
