As you open the doors to La Casa Pasta, your senses will be stimulated with the aromas of freshly-pressed pasta, delicately made sauces and warm, baked breads fill the air. Critics will agree that the tastes are even more satisfying. Newly renovated elegant decor, along with our stunning bar & lounge will surely impress you and your guests.
Chef and Owner Giuseppe Martuscelli's roots and knowledge of fine foods and wines originated in the town of Santa Maria Di Castellabate near Salerno, Italy. Giuseppe came to America with the Italian Navy in 1967 and returned to stay in 1973, settling in Newark, Delaware to open La Casa Pasta in 1978.
Since then, he has made it his goal to serve only the most authentic Northern and Southern Italian foods. Each year, he travels back to his homeland and beyond to learn new recipes and import ingredients not to be found in the states.

Made a reservation for 7pm, entered at 6:45 and let the hostess know that I have arrived. She then told me that I was all checked in and my table will be ready in a few minutes. Waited until 7:15 as I watched people who came in after me get sat before me. I asked if my table was going to be ready soon, and was told by a “second”hostess that I was never checked in ( clearly I should’ve been since I literally told the other young lady who I was and she responded with “you’re all set we’ll call your name soon”. )Finally got seated in an area where the tables were basically you bumping elbows with guests of the table next to you. The menu was “select items only” which sucked because I’ve never been there and had already picked out my dish while looking at the menu online beforehand but it was not on this “selected menu”. The waitress Desiree was great! Very personable and polite but also funny. The crab ravioli was terrible, bland and hardly any filling at all. My wife’s dish was subpar but she managed to eat some of it. We ordered two drinks which were $13 and $14 (not bad at all) paid our bill plus tip and left.

Love, love, love La Casa Pasta. Food is homemade absolutely delicious. Arugula salad was a yummy and healthy option. Also happy that the offer gluten free pasta. The gelato sampler was amazing. This is now my new favorite Italian restaurant.

My wife and I shared a fantastic meal at La Casa Pasta for Valentine’s Day. It’s one of her favorite restaurants and she wanted to celebrate here. We started with glasses of wine (Pinot Grigio for her, Chianti for me), and ordered Clams Casino for our appetizer. The clams were fresh, tender, grit-free, and the topping was delicious. We could’ve eaten several orders, but we knew the rest of the special limited holiday menu would also be enticing. Next we ordered salads (Caesar for her, arugula for me). Both salads were made to order with fresh, crisp greens and house made dressings. The portions were generous and we cleaned our plates. For entrees my wife ordered the Spicy Rigatoni and I selected the lobster ravioli chef’s special. Both pastas were perfectly cooked al dente, and the heat in the sauce of my wife’s dish was spot on. The ravioli (heart shaped) were generously filled with the lobster/cheese mixture and bathed in a light, creamy broth with chunks of sautéed lobster. It was outstanding! If you dine here and the chef offers ravioli as a special it is highly recommended. For dessert we shared the exotic bomba (mango, papaya and raspberry sorbets covered in a white chocolate shell), washed it down with cappuccino and a double espresso. It took a while for the frozen bomba to soften so we could dig in, but it was worth it. My wife concluded that this was one of our best meals at La Casa Pasta, and there have been many. Riley, our server, provided exceptional service throughout our meal! If you are in the mood for expertly prepared Italian food that is appropriately priced and in a comfortable setting then La Casa Pasta should be on your list. You won’t be disappointed!

First time eating here. Very pleasantly surprised. We’ve driven by so many times and the building just appeared like a strip store. The inside was very nicely decorated and relaxing. Except for the tables being so close together. It felt like we were sitting with the couples next to us and we could hear every word of their conversations. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Server Olivia was outstanding. Knowledgeable. Polite, attentive and did not rush us. Her service alone gives us reason to return. Food all properly prepared and delicious with very ample portions and presented nicely. Maybe offer herbs and spices with the olive oil for the bread. Such a pleasure to be offered selections that are not chain restaurant offerings. We will definitely be returning to La Casa Pasta.

Went early for Valentines dinner but even at 4:15 pm it was already filled up. Enjoyed a lovely dinner of our favs. Clams Casino, Nonna’s Polpettes for apps. Chicken Parm and Seafood Pescatore for entrees. Delicious trio of Felato to cool down for dessert. Also a nice carafe of Pinot Grigio. Our server Sarah deserved a 10 star rating. She went above and beyond and even chased us down when we forgot our take home container. Only thing I need to address is now it’s happened twice. I’ve have ordered the Seafood Pescatore not spicey and sure enough both times came with spicy red pepper flakes swimming in the broth. My stomach cannot tolerate them. I did mention to Sarah and she said she checked not spicy on our ticket. If that is how it is cooked now I can’t order it anymore. I have been eating this since 2012 and they never used to put those spicy red pepper flakes in the dish. A great dinner all the same except for my entree.
