Wir sind das einzige Restaurant in der Bay Area, in dem Sie Ihre Mahlzeiten direkt am Tisch frisch zubereitet bekommen können. Freuen Sie sich auf den aufregenden Flambierservice! Am Wochenende wird von 21:00 bis 24:00 Uhr Live-Musik gespielt. Den Veranstaltungskalender finden Sie auf unserer Web-Seite www.iron-gate.com oder auf Facebook. Normally, my experience at Iron Gate is outstanding and leaves no detail uncovered. I patronize Iron Gate at least a few times a year. Usually, this is one of my favorite places to go for dinner. In fact, I have a long history of eating here. This experience was by far a horrible experience in comparison. The entire experience from showing up, to leaving nearly two hours later than expected left everything to be desired. We arrived almost exactly on time for our 8 pm reservation. It was visibly busy, but that's not unusual on an evening like Valentine's Day. I immediately checked in like I always do. We were told it would be about 20 minutes. After only a few minutes later, I began to see people who I *know* arrived later get seated, for over 45 minutes more I saw this happen. We were seated almost an hour after our reservation, and only because I complained 3 times. When we were finally seated, the blonde hostess told us we only had two more tables in front of us and we could have waited. I don't care if that's legitimately true, it's not your place in service to try to berate a customer for seeing unfairness happen to them. The other hostess had already told me they weren't seating by reservation, but by check-in time. So, both seem to be doing something different, having different stories. And, why would you do that to someone. We all make reservations to have a place in line and to be in and out at a certain time. This was beyond rude! The food itself was great, as always, but everything came out having taken at least twice as long as I'm used to. They over-booked the restaurant to include the additional room, but appeared to have the same number of staff working the floor. I'm not sorry to say that I expect FAR more for service and how you are treated, for the amount of money we spend there every time. I doubt I'll consider this restaurant for any other holiday. They don't seem to be able to handle it.

We made reservations for Valentine’s well in advance; we arrived on time were promptly seated and a nice corner deuce. We enjoyed appetizers, hot spinach salad table d’hotel, fish and veal as mains, finished w made-in-house tiramisu. Excellent ambiance, food, and service. Recommend for a special night out.

We were looking forward to a nice Valentine's dinner. We arrived on time for our 7:15 reservation. We were not seated until 7:30, understanding that the restaurant was very busy. However, no one gave us menus until I asked a bus boy about 15 min. later. Our waiter, "Joe" came over right after that and my husband ordered a cocktail. We did not place our dinner order for another 10 min., now 8:00. The cocktails and my wine did not arrive for another 10+ min. Point is that service was very slow. We felt overlooked by our waiter. I had to ask the bus boy again for the check. We did not leave until after 9 p.m.

We dined on a very busy night. Our main courses were delicious: Halibut Piccata and Veal Saltimbocca. However, for the first time ever our Caesar Salads were dressed (tableside) with what was mostly a vinaigrette, not even close to a Caesar dressing. This was disappointing! I think we will not order the Caesar Salad for Two for $35 again.

Great escargot. Steak au poivre a little overcooked, considering that my husband asked for medium rare. Classic French dishes presented in a festive ambiance with impeccable service.
