Walking up the front steps you hear the creak of the original floor boards, and as you enter through the large Colonial doors you may find yourself twisting the old fashioned hand crank doorbell. Unexpectedly lovely experience here. Food is great, lovely dark ambience without being too dark. Service may have been a tad slow, but it also seemed that they got an unexpected dinner rush when we were dining so it was easily forgiven, plus it was nice to to not be sped through our meal. The only critique is that the parking lot is kind of a nightmare to traverse on busy nights, as we got stuck in it for 15 minutes while too many cars were trying to find spots.

We had a wonder first time at tap and bitter. It was a quiet Sunday but the staff checked in on us throughout our dinner. We always had water and didn’t feel rushed and they gave us time in between courses to relax and enjoy each other company
