The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check. Perfect setting for Christmas Eve dinner. The prime rib, meatloaf wellington and the scallops were fabulous. You hit it out of the park on all counts from being greeted at the door and having a fabulous server. Kudos well done. We will be back.

We really enjoyed this beautiful restaurant and the view inside the Union Depot. We all ordered different food items on the menu from soups and salads to steaks and fish. Everyone one of us enjoyed our meal. The prices are very reasonable. I love going to restaurants where potatoes and vegetables are included with the entrees. We will be back. I have been recommending this restaurant to everyone looking for a new place to try.

We were hosting a small family gathering pre-Christmas show. Zelo was the perfect ‘appetizer’! It’s our favorite Minneapolis restaurant and never fails to impress. Food is delicious, ambience perfect and a special thank you to our server Erica who was the perfect mix of attentive without being intrusive.

Took the Intercontinental Hotel shuttle from the airport to the restaurant located in the hotel. So convenient! The food was excellent. The service a bit slow.. however not unusual these days. All in all a good dining experience.
