The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday with a small group, and everything exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding, the food was exceptional, and the drink menu was both creative and delicious. Since we don’t drink alcohol, the manager kindly crafted custom mocktails just for us—a thoughtful and unexpected touch. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary pizzas for the table, which we truly appreciated. We’ll definitely be returning and can’t wait to recommend this fantastic new spot to all our friends!

The chips and salsa were TOO good. The margaritas were nice, some very interesting. I lived in Oaxaca for two summers and was looking forward to authentic chicken mole. I was somewhat disappointed: the flavor was excellent but, unlike in Oaxaca, the chicken was cooked separately and the sauce added when the dish was served. The chicken was overcooked and did not have an infusion of mole flavor. My dinner companions enjoyed their enchiladas and tacos. I tasted and did not find them to be as good as in Mexico. We ordered flan and tres leches. Both were too sweet for my taste. The flan was coffee flavored and was missing the slightly bitter bite of caramelized sugar.

Such a great way to spend a little time on a rainy cold day! This could not be a cozier spot. The decor and adorable mismatched china are so great. Staff is very nice and attentive. Tea was delicious with lots of choices.
