Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Because it is not a huge restaurant, I always feel that when I eat here it is more intimate and personal. You are able to have a conversation without it being too noisy and I’ve always found the food to be a good quality. Sometimes the service is slow but generally we always leave the feeling satisfied.

We had an excellent birthday meal without our small person. The food was phenomenal as were the mocktails which helped to make the day extra special. The service was impeccable and we felt very looked after. Will definitely be returning to sample the rest of the menu!
