Absolutely fantastic Valentine's evening meal. Warm welcome followed by exceptional service from all staff throughout the meal, our waiter was incredibly polite and just the right amount of attentive. The food at the Plough was next to none, we visited before for a Sunday roast and I've never had a better roast beef. This visit was no exception, beautifully cooked meat and fish dishes served with fresh seasonal veg and perfectly balanced sauces. The crab cocktail starter was a particular showstopper, and the banana parfait was unique yet delicious. I noticed lots of awards above the cosy fireplace by our table, I was surprised not to see a Michelin! An absolute gem in a rural location, well worth the drive or a taxi home. We will be back again.

Always enjoy eating at Branca, they're so good at making everything happen smoothly, and the food is always delicious and a very varied choice of veggie, meat, or fish. Our waiter was charming and kind too.

Attended the evening of Thursday 13 February 2025. Nice surroundings. Taken straight to our table. Plenty of waiters. Unfortunately our waiter, while adequate, wasn’t as attentive as we noticed others were. We waited approximately 25 minutes between the starter and the main which we thought was a little excessive. An optional side was not delivered with the main and had to be re-asked for. Food was excellent, not budget but worth the overall cost. Service charge included in the bill and was not questioned, because despite the above minor negative points, was happy with the overall experience and will eat there again.

Absolutely loved it, wonderful food so flavoursome with prompt and attentive service. I had the mushroom croqutes and belly of pork totally recommend it my wife loved her meal too. We shared the creme brule for desert. We also had a great table overlooking the river, cant fault this place at all. We cant wait to book again.

Amazing 5⭐️service indeed. I was served by a young lady whom was so patience as I waited for my friend, (12h00)She kept on reassuring me that it’s okay to wait and I shouldn’t worry. (2 black ladies) She also made a comment that she didn’t know it was so relevant to me at the time. I lost my brother in December 2024, another one in 2023 totalling my lost siblings to 5! So, she said to me, ‘just relax and spend this time to enjoy yourself’ This was so profound as I had not gotten those simple words that yet meant so much to me.
