White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. Vicker's Tavern was always one of our favorite romantic hot spots and we missed it when it closed. White Dog has done a great job renovating and expanding its footprint. We felt very welcomed upon arriving and I had jokingly asked for a table near a fireplace because we live in Florida now. When we checked in, the hostess chuckled and guided us to a table right next to a fireplace! They offer a nice list of cocktails and wines by the glass. To start, definitely try the mushroom soup, it was amazing. The flounder, trout and cajun catfish entrees were very well done. Service was accommodating and friendly. We had a very good experience.

Awesome experience. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and our dinner was incredible. Our server, Diana, was fantastic, she was fun and knowledgeable, she recommended a filet ( special ) which I tried and I was blown away -delicious- best I had in years. My wife loved her short rib dish. Great job. 12.16.24

We always enjoy eating at Funck’s. Our service was great. The food was very good. I just wish the lobster tacos came with a side of something. Tortilla chips would have been great to add some crunch and interest.
