Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too. We were greeted as always with lots of smiles and a happy "Buona Sera" from Davide and all the team. Today we were celebrating my husband's birthday and were immediately spoilt with a glass of prosecco each to toast the occasion. We have our favourite dishes that we stick to but this evening we decided to try something new, so the birthday boy had Seppia Fritta followed by Vitello Tonnato and I had the Frittura (which I always have) but tried the Pesce Spada e Melenzane with casarecce pasta, which I might add was absolutely delicious and definitely worth recommending! My son had the spaghetti carbonara, followed by a juicy rib-eye and caprese cake for his dessert. It wouldn't be a birthday without a candle in the cannoli and a quick rendition of Tanti Auguri A Te Once again well done Marcus on a fabulous evening, if you have yet to visit, put it on your list and you won't be disappointed. It will become your new favourite restaurant, it's definitely ours!

We we visited on my wife’s birthday on the 23rd of December. The food was outstanding and the service provided by Elliot was first class. A very hospitable host who made the occasion very special thank you for nice afternoon.
