Excellent food service and staff so polite and can’t do enough for you beautiful restaurant

Food was delicious, quick and hot. Would recommend the wings and the skewers, sauce is fabulous. Staff are lovely, the atmosphere was not too busy (Thursday) and got the cutest little ice-cream for a little birthday treat. Would recommend checking this place out x

We reserved a table online for Sunday Lunch for 2 at The Imperial Hotel. Restaurant was very quiet and we had a lovely table overlooking the seafront. Service from the waiting staff was attentive and helpful. The roast dinner was lovely, with a choice of beef or pork and all the accompaniments. Sadly the dessert somewhat let the experience down. It is advertised as a "two course sumptuous menu with a complimentary salad bar and a beautiful dessert buffet". The complimentary salad bar was very understocked and underwhelming and the dessert buffet consisted of 3 dinner plates with a very small selection of cupcakes and brownies. If the dessert options had lived up to expectations it would be a much bigger score.

Our food was lovely and the service great. The only thing I could say was my main course was chicken in cream pasta sauce. I had it a starte size and there was very little sauce and no flavour at all. So glad I didn’t have a main portion as I would have left even more.

Christmas Eve meal for 5 foodie adults.Perfection from the moment we walked in to a young guy who checked us in,really friendly and warm,but efficient too.Food on point.5 clean plates for each course.Our waiter made us relaxed,he had the right amount of professionalism/cheeky banter.Christmas began on the right foot at The Cartford once again
