The 218-seat restaurant dining room is a contemporary rendition of an old Paris brasserie bar featuring hot air balloon banquets, café seating, floral lined walls, two large white illuminated canopy trees, and an impressive DJ booth. A private dining area with a stand alone cocktail bar will complete the room, with an additional 14 bar seats for guests to enjoy. Upon entrance, diners will be greeted by a life-size, instagrammable flower wall with neon wall art.

In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. First time dining here and it was a wonderful experience. The service here is better than anywhere else I’ve ever been. We ordered the burrata, prosciutto and fig appetizer and the eggplant rollatini appetizer, both were lovely, really enjoyed the red sauce on the eggplant parm. I ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce as my entree and my husband ordered the chicken and shrimp Gennaro special, everything was so well made and tasted amazing! We didn’t have room for dessert but the menu looked amazing, I can’t believe there were so many options for desserts!

The service at Beginnings is ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL. The food was outstanding just wish certain things were a little hotter. In this economy, the value of what you get is IMPRESSIVE! Will certainly be back
