For example, we use traditional European ingredients such as croissants to create sushi and pasta to create Japanese dishes. We use the fresh Japanese wagyu beef for our starters and sushi, and we also use the Japanese techniques of curing local fish of Europe - using kombu seaweed - to bring out the best of the ingredients. The 17th Century craftsman’s cottage has gradually been extended to form a charming country pub full of nooks and crannies. Under new ownership, The Black Horse has recently undergone extensive refurbishment both inside and out, creating one of the nicest pub environments in the area.Food is our passion and we will never compromise on quality. We are proud of our seasonally changing menus, simple, yet exciting using the finest ingredients and locally sourced produce. Certain dishes have become specialities such as our sticky ribs and homemade 8oz burgers. Our beef has been aged for a minimum of 35 days and the roast beef served on Sundays is unrivalled. I want to thank all the Ivy staff for their warmth and kindness. It truly is the best place to celebrate a long anniversary or a special event. Everyone was incredibly professional and amazing, and the atmosphere was simply stunning. The afternoon tea was an incredible experience—every piece was exquisite and tasted absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough—it’s absolutely fantastic!

This is the second time we have had Sunday lunch and the food was delicious, service was first class. Our waitress Aga and the team were excellent, very helpful and extremely pleasant. Will definitely recommend going there.
