We've been serving the people of Braintree and beyond since 2015 and in that time have humbly become ‘one of Essex’s best restaurants.’ We have received recognition from the AA, having been awarded an AA Rosette for ‘culinary excellence’ for five consecutive years, and then in 2023 we received our second rosette, putting the restaurant amongst the top 10 restaurants in Essex. Our food is of course one of our main focuses, but we don’t just stop there. Attentive, relaxed and friendly service is as important as the food and our objective is to make your visit an enjoyably memorable one. Our exceptional wine supplier, Peter Watts Wines (based up the road in Coggeshall) allows us to offer you delicious wines of an exceptional quality. Then add some cocktails, jazz, personality, creativity, a few hidden quirks and we like to think this all culminates to create a truly wonderful experience. We had a lovely meal next to the log burner which made it so cosy on a very cold night. The food was delicious and we had a great welcome from the serving staff.

I went with my two daughters , we all thought the food was excellent , my daughters had the vegetarian dish which they said was superb , I had the skate wing which was delicious . The starter of onion and goats cheese tart was gorgeous

Family meal after seeing the Panto and it was perfect! We all lived what we ate. The only thing that made it tricky for us is we had to go up a lot stairs with my very old, disabled mum. But we managed. A lovely evening out!

Lovely food and service, only one small issue being that we had never eaten Thai before and asked the waiter for advice on the different dishes. Either he didn't understand or hear us properly or couldn't speak very good English so didn't really respond. We ended up taking an educated decision to go for curry. Which was gorgeous. His service was impeccable and was friendly throughout. Would definitely return and recommend.
