The Crown is an independently run award-winning freehouse in the heart of Hastings Old Town, open at 11am every day. Our kitchen is open 12-4, 5 till 9. The First In Last Out (FILO), is a family run free-house in the Old Town of Hastings. Alongside our award winning beer, we serve quality food prepared from scratch. Easy to book, friendly helpful staff on arrival. Nice atmosphere. The food was generally good but pricy. Not impressed with the pitiful scraps they called chips. We would go again, for the atmisphere and friendly staff.

They are currently in the Cake Room in Hastings in the evenings. Venue was warm, Welcoming and comfortable. Food was magnificent, as always. Fried chicken was crispy, tasty and just the right amount of spice. Beef curry is the star of the show for me. Earthy, rich depth of flavour. 10/10. Lots of vegetarian options too. Service is wonderful, great knowledge of the dishes available and we always receive a warm welcome. I honestly can’t recommend it enough.
