A lovely historical. Venue matched with an attentive and accommodating staff made for a one of a kind tea service. I hope Floris continues to thrive and remain a beautiful addition to Richmond’s social activities. Floris is a very appreciated and needed experience. I will definitely continue to visit and bring friends and family when they visit.

We have come to make this Firebirds our go-to dining for special occasions. Very friendly and accommodating staff. A wide menu and cocktail selection suit our families many preferred dietary needs. Ther food is well prepared and delicious. They can handle intimate to large gatherings. Value and quality of food is superb and will be returning!

We spent our valentine's dinner at the bar. The choices in the set menu were balanced, we ended up getting the same dishes - both the salmon tartare and the filet mignon were outstanding. In particular the way the meat was cooked (sous-vide) delivered such a unique experience. I am a meat lover and this was just out of this world, tender, perfect medium rare, warm all over, flavorful... wow! Respect to the team for a great experience.

We had a fabulous Valentine’s Day dinner at Hard Shell. Everything was perfect!

Took my long-time friend for Valentine's Day. We have never tried 1870. I made a reservation a month in advance because it was Valentine's Day. We were seated on the second floor, the Jewett Room. They only have four tables in the room so compared to the bar area, it was quiet. We had a table for 4, so for the 2 of us we had plenty of room. My date started with a cocktail, "The Mother of all President's", which was fabulous. The service was terrific, special shout out to our waiter Jacob. The meal was perfectly prepared. We both had the 6 oz filet mignon and it was so flavorful and tender. We shared the sauteed spinach and au gratin potatoes. For dessert, we split the dark chocolate tart, which went well with our bottle of Caymas Cabernet. I highly recommend for a special occasion. We heard they have a great happy hour, so we will definitely return and check it out.
